The frescoes on the walls and ceilings are fully restored, and the tables are set to welcome you with all the pomp that an embassy of regional gastronomy has to offer. This room overlooks the cloisters, where you can have your meals or participate in a barbecue in the summer.
In winter, it’s better to stay by the fireplace and warm up with the fabulous tomato soup from the menu.
In the bar, you can relax with a drink and try one of the light meals.

Try some of the delicious meals typical of Alentejo cuisine.
Try the migas and açorda which, together with soups, were the basis of the Alentejo diet outside of festive dates. The main dishes are lamb (traditionally eaten in the countryside after Easter Sunday) and golden codfish, an original recipe from Elvas that is very popular.
