The Pousada Serra da Estrela is located inside the Parque Natural da Serra da Estrela, in Covilhã. The breathtaking views are of snowcapped mountains or the greenery of continental Portugal's highest mountains at an altitude of 6,539 ft.
In 2024, Serra da Estrela was awarded the World Famous Tourism Mountain label in the Nature category.
Panoramic and stylish
The Pousada is a project by the renowned architect Souto Moura, who restored the main structure of the old sanatorium in Serra da Estrela.
During the summer, the snowy hillsides make way for lush greenery and bright scenery, creating a new destination for you to (re)discover.
Visit the magnificent view points, waterfalls, riverside beaches and sanctuaries.
At the Pousada you'll find a sauna, Turkish bath and indoor pool (26ºC). In summer, you can enjoy the outdoor pool and stroll around the gardens.
The Pousada offers free parking, a restaurant and bar, a games room and a Kids Club area.
The rooms have a flat-screen TV and Wi-Fi internet access, and are always elegantly decorated. For large families there are connecting rooms with sofa beds that can accommodate up to 8 people.
