Casa Lidador - Óbidos

Such is the beauty of this walled village that it became known as the "gift of the queens", as it was part of the dowry of many of them. Built in the 18th century, it is considered one of the Seven Wonders of Portugal.

To the sound of rabecas and alaúdes (both types of stringed instrument), dressed in costumes and armour, Óbidos returns to the Middle Ages. The market offers duels, street entertainers, currency exchange, games, taverns and medieval suppers.
