It is considered one of the most beautiful and noble palaces in Beira Alta region. It was built in 1724 and has belonged to the Paes do Amaral family since the 17th century. It is a manor house considered by many to be one of the most "sumptuous noble residences in the province of Beira Alta".

For the restoration of the cellar, the architectural project by Carlos Castanheira introduces a simple and functional design. The cellar embodies a strong connection with nature, using materials such as cork and wood, including what have become mandatory assumptions such as energy saving, wastewater treatment and solid waste segregation, as well as the acoustic comfort and well-being of those who work here.
