To the sound of rabecas and alaúdes (both types of stringed instrument), dressed in costumes and armour, Óbidos returns to the Middle Ages. The market offers duels, street entertainers, currency exchange, games, taverns and medieval suppers.

The town’s Literary Festival brings together writers, poets and artists in a creative ensemble, with round tables, interviews, gatherings, concerts, exhibitions and activities for children.
