Pousada Forte Horta

The Viewpoint of Espalamaca, is guarded by a cross with 30 m high and the image of Nossa Senhora da Conceição, here one can see the other islands of the central group (Pico, São Jorge and Graciosa).

It is an ancient volcano origin in the sea joined Faial. It is classified as a protected landscape area for its geological formation, flora and fauna.

The Clock Tower is now a Christian religious temple located in the Portuguese municipality of Horta on Faial. It is located next to the Garden Florêncio Terra and has a lot of construction going back to the eighteenth century.

The Azores are one of the world’s largest whale sanctuaries. Whale watching goes on throughout the waters of the whole archipelago. After the boat’s departure, you can enjoy the almost certain sightings of a wide variety of marine species.

There is a network of walking trails classified by the Azores Regional Government for tourists to enjoy the landscape of this region.
